The Warehouse Dance Studio | Home of the Blue Streak Cloggers
Director

Hi! My name is Amanda (Kelley) Cloudt and I have a passion for clogging, in general most all styles of dancing, and teaching them. I first started clogging in 1990 at the age of nine and haven't stopped since. The first clogging routine I choreographed was at the age of ten. When I was in the fourth grade I never played during reccess. Instead you would find me teaching steps to my classmates.

At the age of 14 is when I became an assistant clogging instructor and had the oppurtunity to choreogragh and teach a non-repetitive clogging routine. In 1995 I was chosen to be "Clogger of the Year" for the Brazosport Bluebonnet Cloggers.

By the age of 16 I was ready to be challenged even more and joined the award winning Yellow Rose Cloggers. I competed with them for an off and on total of four years. With Yellow Rose I have performed for many great events including: Super Bowl XXXVIII (38) Pre-Game; San Antonio Cloggers Showcase; internationally attended conventions; and competed in Las Vegas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Missouri, and of course all over Texas.

At age 18 and then again at 19, I had surgery on both ankles, but that didn't stop me from slowing down! In 2003 I returned to The Bluebonnets to instruct the class bringing them back into state exhibitions and competitions.

Blue Streak was first created in 2004 as the advanced team affiliated with The Bluebonnet Cloggers. I am proud to say I am the founder, choreographer, and director, as well as a member of the team.

Hardworking feet. Worn out shoes.     At the young age of 23, I decided it was time to open up my own studio. In April of 2005, The Warehouse Dance Studio was born! Many of the members of Blue Streak and a newly started belly dance class were the first students at The Warehouse. At this time I also began to expand into other styles of dance including hip hop, poms, and aerobics.

I have won many awards such as: 3rd place Young Adult Masters Female Freestyle Solo; 2nd place Overall Masters Freestyle Solo; Grand Champion Duet; and many overall team categories. For the past four years, I have choreographed winning solos for the Brazoria County Fair. I am one of the Texas instructors at the TCC Rally and Double Toe Jam Workshop both held in Waco.

In October 2006 I was offered the position of exhibition chair for Double Toe Jam Workshop which I totally accepted. My goal is to become a texas clogging leader and national instructor. At this time I was also a member of the All Star clogging team known as T-Force.

I continue to learn and grow as an instructor through attending workshops, learning from mentors, and studying videos as I feel there is always room for improvement. I put my heart and soul into every routine I choreograph and every step I take! You can often find me clogging down the isle of a grocery store or where ever I might be. I teach dance because I love it! It's what I do! It's who I am!
